People keep asking me about the 34-unit value-add apartment community just outside Knoxville, TN that we acquired last year. I was checking in on the progress and meeting with my local partners last month. I already knew that from an investor standpoint, this property is far outperforming our pro-forma. I attribute this to
- Conservative underwriting leaving room for upside and handling surprises
- A great partnership and property management team and
- The strength of the multifamily market.
